Project description
I am developing a model of the High-Voltage Fragmentation (HVF) process to improve composite recycling. In the next future, it will be exploited to optimise HVF parameters and understand their effect on fragmentation and fibre recovery. The model is validated through experiments on real composite products, mainly composed of carbon and glass fibres, ensuring it accurately reflects physical outcomes. The result will be a validated, practical model ready for cyber-physical implementation, supporting an automated and scalable recycling of composite materials for potential industrial use, and contributing to a circular materials economy.
