Project description

My project explores microwave pyrolisis and microwave-assisted solvolysis for recycling thermoset matrix composites, especially CFRP and GFRP.

The goal is to recover intact fibers for reuse and extract valuable by-products from the degraded matrix. By studying the physics of microwave–material interactions, the project aims to understand how this targeted heating can enhance chemical degradation processes and support the development of efficient, selective recycling strategies.

The long-term objective is to enable scalable, sustainable solutions for composite waste, contributing to a more circular use of advanced materials.
